Brief: A Feature Over Five Metres

The client’s vision was bold and singular: to create a formal dining or boardroom table, over five metres in length, featuring a striking, highly reflective river of copper running directly through its centre. The objective was to blend the warmth and solidity of natural oak with the drama of a liquid metal finish.

Design

We supported the development of two new table designs, managing the process from concept and prototyping to final manufacture. A two-month period of intensive trials allowed us to develop production techniques that improved upon the client’s existing processes, ensuring consistent, award-winning quality. Having proven our understanding of their brand, we soon collaborated to introduce new colours and new pieces across their range.

We now provide an end-to-end service for this unique, British-designed product range, including consolidating fabrication, assembly, and sourcing sustainable tabletop materials. This close partnership was invaluable when the client secured a major commission for apartment furniture. Thanks to our integrated approach, we were able to quickly produce the prototypes needed to meet their customer’s extremely tight pre-construction schedule.
