Design
We began the process by sending a finish sample to the client for approval. Our innovative paint finishes add distinctive appeal and value to projects. Once the unique brushed brass look was signed off, we moved into the creative CAD development and 3D rendering.
Using our in-house 3D capabilities, we produced scaled prototypes to test detail, quality, and proportion. These models helped refine the final full-size crest design, allowing us to make small adjustments early in the process before committing to the final fabrication.
Make
The final plaque was printed in two main sections on our in-house 3D printer, ensuring crisp definition and dimensional accuracy. These parts were then assembled and seamlessly bonded to a high-quality.
The next stage was surface preparation. We applied an adhesion promoter, then layered on the antique brass coating with hand-applied brush strokes and painted detailing to match the requested patina creative vision. Patina was used to achieve the rustic, aged appearance.
Finally, to protect the finish, ensure the durability and enhance depth, a final coat of wax was applied, bringing warmth and longevity to the piece.

Layrd were thrilled with the result and so were Ipswich Town F.C. Our Managing Director, John Knight, hand-delivered the finished crest to Layrd. The attention to detail and high-quality finish, combined with the fast turnaround made possible by our in-house capabilities, left a lasting impression of Revelare as a trusted collaborator.
A small but striking piece, now proudly displayed with the weight and presence it deserves.
‘Scott and the team at Revelare immediately understood our brief and the vision we had for this project. They provided expert guidance on both the design and build, helping us bring to life a standout statement signage piece for Ipswich Town Football Club. As always, it was an absolute pleasure working with them.’
